Keilah's birthday at Disneyland

To celebrate Keilah's 4th birthday, we spent the afternoon/night at Disneyland. Going to Disneyland in and of itself is nothing special...we have passes, so we go all the time. We usually go for 3-4 hours on weekday mornings with friends. To make her birthday special I allowed her to wear one of her princess dresses to Disneyland and we went at night so we could take her to the parades and Fantasmic, which she loves! We met up with her grandparents and great-grandparents inside the park. We also planned on taking her to the Bibbidy Bobbidi Boutique, which is a little salon inside Fantasyland where they style the little girls' hair and put makeup & glitter on them to make them into princesses. When we showed up to our appointment Keilah *freaked* out and would not go in. I tried to get her to stand there with me for a little while and just watch the other little girls get turned into princesses. She was adamant that she did not want to do it, so we left and went on a few rides. We had dinner at Rainforest Cafe, and then Jason and I took Keilah back to Disneyland while Katie went home with gramma and grandpa. We got back into the park and over to New Orleans Square just in time for fireworks to start. Then we had perfect seats for Fantasmic! Keilah was so exhausted that she fell asleep between the fireworks and Fantasmic, but once the show started she was wide-eyed with excitement. The highlight of the night was at the end of Fantasmic when all the characters are on the Mark Twain Riverboat. Keilah jumped to her feet and was waving excitedly. Sleeping Beauty saw that Keilah was wearing her *sleeping beauty* dress (we were sitting front and center) and made eye contact and waved directly to Keilah the entire time she was in view. What a great way to make the birthday girl feel special!
