Prodromal Labor

I think I've been in prodromal labor for at least the last 3 days. I wasn't really paying too much attention to it prior to Tuesday. I knew I was having a ton of braxton hicks contractions, but I never paid attention to their regularity. After my OB appointment on Tuesday (2cm dialated, 75% effaced), I started to take notice that the contractions were approximately every 10 minutes apart, Wednesday they were still 10 minutes apart, and today we are down to every 5-7 minutes. The contractions are not painful at this point, just really tight 'practice' contractions. I am hoping this means I will have a short active labor--although that is probably just wishful thinking. :)
