7 months

Katelynn turned 7 months old today!

She is growing and changing so fast. She can finally sit up on her own for prolonged periods of time. She hates wearing socks and is constantly pulling them off her feet. She is a finger sucker and prefers her index and middle finger on her left hand (Keilah sucks her right thumb). She loves oatmeal, but is not impressed with the veggies I have tried to give her. She loves to give kisses and will grab your face or hair and pull you in for a big wet open mouth kiss, lol. Her spitting up has gotten a lot better, but is not gone yet. Still no teeth. I suspect it will be awhile before they appear since Keilah was a late teether.

Jason mentioned that Katelynn was having a bit of separation anxiety when I left to go to bible study on Monday night. Tonight it occured to me that during the day while Jason is at work she does not freak out when I leave the room. She might whine and cry a little sometimes, but she doesn't freak out. Then tonight after dinner I noticed that if Jason was downstairs and I left her sight she would get pretty upset and start wailing. At some point Jason went back upstairs and she was fine with me leaving the room too. Not quite sure what is going on in her mind, but apparenly she doesn't like it when Jason is there but I am not. lol.

She still loves to watch Keilah. Keilah is so good with her most of the time. I know Keilah is dying to play with her. Keilah does pretend to feed Katelynn and will dance for her and make her laugh. Pretty much everything else Keilah does somehow lands her in the corner --putting pillows on Katie's head, picking her up, etc. It will be awsome when Katelynn is finally old enough to play with Keilah.

Katelynn is still an awsome sleeper. I have been so blessed with two kids who love to sleep at night. They must take after me. :)

I love the crinkled nose...reminds me of my sister's smile. :)
