Big Bear Vacation

Mom, Dad, Doug, Kristy, Justin, Kristin, and the four of us all stayed in an amazing cabin up in Big Bear this week. It was a great opportunity for us to all spend some quality time together before my brother leaves for Marine bootcamp this Sunday.

The trip got off to a rocky start when my niece, Kristin, fell out of a chair that was assembled with only 1 bolt. After an ambulance ride and an x-ray it was determined that nothing was broken (which later turned out to be incorrect--her collar bone is broken and will take approximately 4 weeks to heal.) She was such a trooper the rest of the week and was all smiles as long as no one touched her injured area.

We spent most of our time in the cabin playing with the girls, playing pool, and games. The boys went golfing while we visited the Big Bear Zoo. We also spent some time out on the lake looking at all the beautiful cabins along the water's edge. Keilah's favorite activity was going down the Alpine Slide. She was a bit apprehensive the first time, but once she went down she was hooked!
