Potty Learning Day 5

Today went really well until after dinner when she had both a poop and then a pee accident. Thankfully the clean up on both were not too bad as they happened in the bathrooms. She did really well going to the bathroom on her own today. I consistently remind her that if she needs to go pee to go in the potty. If it has been quite a while since she last went to the bathroom then I will make her go sit for a bit, but overall she is really good about going when she needs to go.

She is a champion at using going potty as a stalling technique. As soon as we tell her to go to timeout for something, or that it is nap or bedtime all of a sudden she has to go potty forever, lol. I don't want to discourage use of the potty, so I usually let her stall for a couple minutes. Hopefully that doesn't backfire on me later.

Tomorrow we are going to San Diego for my niece's birthday party. I am not sure if I should put her in panties or diapers. I don't really want to take a step backwards by putting her back in diapers for the day, but I'm not sure she's ready for panties yet. Either way, I will probably bring her little potty with us so she can use it if she wants while we are at Papa & Nana's before the party.
