This afternoon we were invited over to Hannah's house for swimming and dinner. Hannah is Keilah's little friend from church. The two of them are always so cute when we pick Keilah up from nursery. They are often wearing each other's shoes so we always have to make sure we go home with the right ones.
It was so cute watching the girls play together. Not only do the girls look a bit alike, but the similarities in their personality and temperment is scary! LOL. We had a couple normal 2 year old squabbles, but overall the girls play very well together. Keilah tends to be a bit, shall we say, assertive (alright, alright...she is downright bossy, lol). Hannah is a mirror of Keilah and it is nice to know that one is not dominating the other because they can each hold their own. The girls had fun swimming, playing kitchen, and wearing each other's shoes and purses.
Keilah has been challenging (to put it lightly) since Katie was born and I've been starting to wonder what it was we were doing wrong. It was refreshing to see another kid behave the same way Keilah does. It helped me see that what we are going through with her is actually quite "normal" and not a result of us failing as parents. Hannah's parents also have 3 older boys who are 19, 21, and 26 years old...so they are seasoned parents who are still going through the same thing we are. It made me feel so much better.
We had a lot of fun and hope that the girl's friendship continues to grow.
