Those of you with weak stomachs might not want to read this entry, lol. :)
Keilah came down with her first flu yesterday. We were over at Gramma's house after nap time and Keilah was running around riding her new birthday tricycle around the backyard. We came inside for a while and Keilah was still playing and acting fine. All of a sudden she starts saying that her tummy hurts and she comes over to me and climbs up in my lap, facing me with her forehead on my chest. A few seconds later she throws up all over me. I am soaked, she is soaked, the couch is soaked (sorry gramma!!). We make our way to the bathroom only to have her throw up all over the carpet right in front of the toilet (sorry gramma!). I stripped her pants and sweater off and put her in the tub with a trash bucket. I removed my sweater and borrowed some old pj's from gramma (thank you!!) and climbed into the tub with her while gramma worked on cleaning up the mess (BIG thank you!!!). We hung out in the dry tub until Jason came back from getting us some clean clothes. I gave Keilah a bath and got her dressed before heading home.

It was only the beginning of a long night. Jason ended up coming down with it too. Keilah could not keep anything down. I tried to give her a single spoonful of water on several occasions only to have her throw it back up again. I spent the night on the floor of her bedroom, where she got sick almost every hour through the night, mostly dry heaving. Around 3:30am we were finally able to get some sleep. I thought she was past it when she woke up all talkative around 6:00am, only to have her get sick again around 8:00 and a few other times throught the day. Poor thing! We have done nothing but hang out on the couch having a Disney movie marathon.
Jason and Keilah having their Disney movie marathon eating their only meal of the day (2 saltines)
Debbi came down with it too last night (sorry!). So far I feel ok. I've been praying really hard that Katie and I don't catch what Jason and Keilah have and that they feel better quickly.

Wow, what an adventure, Im so sorry you're all getting sick! We will keep you all in prayer. I remember when Kris got her first flu. It so sad to watch them hurt like that. : (
I guess turning 3 didn't agree with Keilah's stomach. That's how I feel about turning 30 next year. :) I am SO sorry you all had to got through that. Man, you got the full effect of the flu. What troopers you all are. Yay for great parents (you)! Hang in there and I pray you all feel better soon (and the rest of you don't get it). At least this all happened AFTER the party so Keilah did get a party this year! :)
