...but were sorely disappointed when she woke up at 5:30am like she does everyday. I went downstairs and turned on the CHRISTmas tree lights and lit a fire. Keilah came downstairs and we told her she could finally open her presents (those things have been tempting her for weeks now!). We let her unwrap all of her gifts first. We knew that if we took the toys out of their packages she would never get through it all. After she was done, we drew her attention to the gift in the corner of the entryway and had her pull the blanket off. She was so excited when she saw her new play kitchen. She played with that thing for hours! By herself! <---That made me super excited!
Gramma and Grandpa joined us for breakfast. Jason made his wonderful french toast and we had a new sausage egg dish that is now one of our favorites!
The girls and I took naps before heading over to Brad's house for Christmas dinner and spending more time with family. :)
It was a wonderful CHRISTmas, full of family, friends, and great food. It was so good to spend time with everyone that we don't regularly see these past couple days. Looking around at all the family we had at both nights we realized just how blessed we truely are.
Merry Christmas!!!
