Katelynn update--no more oxygen

After several attempts to wean Katelynn from the oxygen, she was finally able to sustain her O2 saturation levels on her own. They removed her nasal cannula last night and she has been doing fine breathing room air. They have been gradually increasing her feedings and reducing her IV. Her IV is currently in her scalp right now, which looks really strange. At this time she is up to 50mL at each feeding. I go to the hospital 3 times a day to feed her and lately she has been nursing really well! My milk has come in so they should not have to give her formula anymore. Her last x-ray was "improving" but apparently not completely clear. At this time there are no standing orders for more labs or x-rays. According to the nurse, they will order labs at least one more time and possibly another x-ray before discharging her.

Here are some pictures from July 1st.
