Katelynn update

I met with Katelynn's neonatologist briefly this afternoon.
Her blood cultures came back negative indicating no infection, but the last x-ray of her lungs was still a bit "fuzzy." They are going to extend her antibiotics to 7 days, which means she will not be home before Sunday. The x-ray will be repeated again tomorrow to check the status of her lungs. They ordered an increase in her feedings, which Katelynn is very grateful for. Silly girl gives funny looks when she finishes her bottle as if to say "That's it?? Are you kidding me?" They also tried to decrease her oxygen, however she did not seem to handle it very well and started to breathe very rapidly, so they turned it back up. I am not sure when they will attempt to decrease it again. We probably won't have another update until Thursday after her doctor reviews the next x-ray.
